Nature Walk


No school today (teacher work day at Weaverville Primary, Fall Break at MHC), so we went for a walk — a 1.2 mile loop near the Blue Ridge Parkway Destination Center. We didn't realize we all matched until we saw the picture. (Joanna, at least, was wearing a burgundy jacket.)

International Meal


On the menu: French farmhouse pork loin (roasted with garlic, apricots, thyme, and white wine), fresh greens with walnuts & dried fruit, warm baguette with butter, a cheese plate (Roncal, brie, and aged Quebec cheddar), and choice of vin de table or Belgian beer. Mmmm....

Topping Up


Nana & Pappy stopped by last Saturday for our monthly International Meal Night. (Well, we tried to keep it monthly, but we got a bit behind.) This month: French farmhouse fare.

Ian & the Puke Bowl (unused)


Cam stayed home from school one day last week with a tummy bug. The night before he'd become sick and thrown up, so that day we made sure he had this bowl beside him all the time. Fortunately, he didn't need it as Ian had other plans for it.
