New Family Member!
Elena Christine Baker was born via Caesarian this morning at 9:13 EDT — 6 lbs. 14 oz., mother and baby fine, father reportedly frazzled (last spotted mumbling something about the cost of college). Pics to follow.

Naptime?
Ian quit taking his late-morning naps about a month ago. As a result, by mid-afternoon, he's one tuckered tyke. Yesterday he was so tired that he didn't quite make it all the way into the chair — just fell asleep mid-climb.

Paddling in the Creek
After Father's Day breakfast at Denny's, we drove over to the town of Montreat and a neat little park arranged in little playground islands alongside a mountain stream ("Flat Creek" I think it's called). The boys quickly lost interest in the swings and slides and instead spent most of the time ankle-deep in the water, Cam insisting to all the strangers that he was a sea squirt, Ian picking up and dropping fist-sized rocks to watch them splash.
