"Wow! Amazing!"

Ian wasn't particularly impressed with tonight's menu: fish sticks, broccoli with cheese, and crosscut fries. (He ate the last immediately and then turned his nose up at the rest.) The solution? Douse it all in ketchup, everyone's favorite condiment. Ian's response: "Wow! Amazing!" (Must be from a cartoon....)

Terrific Kids Ceremony

Last Thursday, Joanna and I went to the primary school just after 8:00 to see Cam receive the Terrific Kids award, given to students who exhibit "positive attitude, good character, and responsible citizenship." When we saw the 20 or so other kids who were getting the award, we were a bit worried that Cam wouldn't sit still through the whole ceremony, but he was a model student throughout.

Foggy Mountain Morning

Driving Ian to Nana & Pappy's this morning, the fog was what Yukon Cornelius calls "thick as peanut butter." (How many times have I seen that Rudolph special? More than is healthy for me, no doubt.) Then we got up onto the ridgetop of Flint Hill Road, and the sun was brilliant, but below in the little branch coves the fog hung around for a while longer.

New Home Theater System

Joanna's in the living room with her workout tape, so the kids have retired to Cam's room to watch A Bug's Life. No surround sound and no stadium seating, but these two don't seem to mind.
